Rebates for a Qualicum Beach home
Which rebate a house can get depends on how it is heated today, not on the heat pump you pick. A home on electric heat can go for the Home Renovation Rebate: up to $4,000 when the heat pump carries the whole house, or $1,500 when it carries part of it. Both figures are BC Hydro's.
On top of that, for this window only, BC Hydro is adding a bonus of up to $1,000. It wants the job completed, invoiced and paid between August 1 and October 31, 2026, and the complete application in by November 30, 2026. Funding is limited and the program can end without notice, so the date on the paid invoice and the application date are the parts that matter. Those dates are BC Hydro's.
Both need the heat pump installed by a contractor registered with the program. Griffin Refrigeration is not registered with CleanBC Better Homes, so neither is available on a heat pump we install today.
